Our popular Motorcycle Maintenance Courses run at Mavericks from 12pm-5pm on selected Sundays.
It’s a perfect introduction for riders looking to increase their working knowledge of bikes, bike anatomy, general maintenance, preventative care and fault finding. As it’s a classroom session, no need to bring your bike, just a little enthusiasm! We’ve had great feedback so far.
“Just want to say a really big thank you to Rich, this was an absolutely brilliant day, especially for me (with very little mechanical experience) but also for others who attended (who all knew more than me but ranged from long term bikers to those returning to biking after some years- as one experienced biker said “every day is a learning day” How right he was!).
We enjoyed an excellent day learning so much about all kinds of bikes and their maintenance. Absolutely recommend such a well organised, informative and friendly opportunity to develop and enhance our knowledge and understanding. Rich is a great teacher, being so knowledgeable yet sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience in a way we all found easy to access thanks to his patient and friendly manner – happy to answer all questions and still keep us on track to cover so much in plenty of detail!
Got to say I loved the chance to see some of Mavericks’ custom work up close (think I was drooling a bit over the Triumphs 😊) so it’s no wonder people return to Mavericks for their expertise and craftsmanship (some of my fellow pupils have been taking their bikes to Mavericks for years, and I’ll be doing the same)”
In the 5 hour course, we cover three core sections to suit riders with little or limited mechanical knowledge.
Firstly, we start with bike anatomy – how bikes work & why. and how are they all linked? It’s a great way to understand your own bike before moving on to bike maintenance
In the bike maintenance section we’ll look at what you need to have and what you need to know in order to look after your own bike and keep it in tip top condition.
.Finally, we’ll look into fault finding & pre/post-ride checks. There’s nothing worse than being ready to go and the bike refusing.
HOW MUCH AND HOW TO BOOK?
The course costs £59.99 per person and must be booked online in advance through the website.
Refreshments are provided, all you need to bring is an open-mind, notebook and pen!
